Co-Curricular
At AVM besides imparting education we encourage students to participate enthusiastically in a number of co-curricular activities that are in the curricular program of the school. These activities provide an opportunity for students to work in teams, exercise leadership skills, a platform to show their talents and skills as well as build self confidence and become independent .
1) ART :
Art is and integral part of learning at AVM. Using a variety of materials students learn to inherent beauty, bring in an aesthetic appeal and be attractive in their creation.
2) MUSIC & SINGING :
Students enjoy singing a variety of Indian and Western music, they who learn instruments outside the school are also encouraged to participate and showcase their talents.
3) SPEECH & DRAMA :
These classes are made up of a range of drama and voice related activities which help to improve self confidence, communication skills and presentation skills .
4) DANCE :
Students learn a variety of dance forms ie; classical, western or just free dance which helps them to build confidence as well as learn team work, focus , and improvisational skills.
5) YOGA :
Yoga is carried out on a weekly basis by practicing yoga it helps our students in controlling their individual body, mind and soul. It brings together a physical and mental discipline increasing flexibility and muscle strength. Yoga Day is celebrated on the 12th January which is the Swami Vivekanand Jayanti where students perform the Surya Namaskar.
6) COMPUTER SCIENCE :
With the digital age rising, there is a need to develop logical thinking and problem solving which are all a part of the computer science curriculum. Student study the design, development and analysis of software and hardware used to solve problems in a variety of businesses.
